The GeoBonn 2018 conference is history now. With more than 700 delegates from 25 countries visiting Bonn, we were impressed by the large number of contributions that allowed us to put together an amazing program. In 8 parallel tracks and across four days, we hosted about 370 talks and 250 posters in 3 poster sessions. We also consider ourselves lucky that we could win Prof. Dr. Maria McNamara (UCC, Cork, Ireland), Prof. Balz Kamber (iCRAG, Dublin, Ireland), Prof. William B. F. Ryan (LDEO, Columbia, USA), and Prof. Gordon Lister (ANU, Canberra, Australia) as plenary speakers. In addition, we used the opportunity to invite Prof. Dr. Mojib Latif (GEOMAR, Kiel) for a public evening lecture, and we would like to thank our students for a great science slam.

We hope that the GeoBonn 2018 stays with you for a long time. We certainly keep a fond memory of this meeting.

Cordially,
